This paper clearly signals a point where our efforts of delving into the world of ecology has again paid off- and well done to Emanga Alobwede for getting her second publication of her PhD.
I learnt a lot through this project, funded by the Grantham Centre, and mostly that experiments in applied ecology requires some immense planning and outrageous volumes of sample processing and analysis. It showcases strong team work across disciplines (not to mention all those lengthy meetings with the soil science Guru, Professor Jonathan Leake, trying to decipher a focussed route through all the ideas we kept generating). Overall the results were very interesting, so please have a read here, mostly though, it shows we have so much to find out yet...
